Legs do not wobble a single bit, they are about 13" wide. If you where really worried about it, put pieces of rubber on each side of the leg. It'll help sturdy it more and help prevent it from sliding side to side. It is just over peg height, my rail that is. It's perfect height for learning new stuff I think.
